Here are some answers to questions that we are frequently asked.

If you have additional questions that aren't covered here, please feel free to give us a call at (860)434-8387.

 

• Our hospital is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. On Tuesday and Thursday we are open from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. On Saturdays and Sundays we are closed.

 

• Patients are seen by appointment only.

 

• Payment is due at the time of service. We accept checks, cash, Discover, Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Care Credit.

 

• If your pet is experiencing an emergency during our office hours please contact us immediately. If your pet is experiencing an emergency on a weekend or after our office is closed please go to the nearest veterinary emergency hospital. 

• Old Lyme Veterinary Hospital treats dogs, cats, rabbits , guinea pigs and reptiles.

 

• For a detailed list of our services, please navigate to our services page. 

 

• If your pet passes away at home, please call our office immediately and we will help you make the necessary arrangements at this very sad time. If the office is closed, please leave a message and our staff will contact you first thing in the morning of the next business day. 

 

• We do not board pets, as we do not have staff on-site 24/7. We do have a list of recommended boarding facilities available.

 

• Old Lyme Veterinary Hospital accepts donations for Old Lyme Animal Control which has felines. They often need cat litter and cat food. Old Lyme Veterinary Hospital also a fund for pet parents who need assistance with veterinary costs.
